A favor to my daughter

My wife and I invite our two daughters over on Sunday afternoons for a free meal & free laundry service. It is a family tradition since these two have moved out of the house. Their mother relishes the time spent with them. There is always laughter, plenty of food and usually a sweet dessert afterwards.

It was during one of these Sunday visits that this blog came to the forefront of the conversation. My oldest daughter related the story to us at the dinner table.

She has been seeing a guy lately. Somehow my blog became the topic of conversation between them. He asked for the web address to this blog. She warned him that she had not had the chance to “screen” my blog. For embarrassing commentary, or just the usual weird dad stuff I presume. He pressed the issue and she relented.

Some time later, he informed her that he did not understand all the camera lingo, but it was an interesting blog.

I can understand the first concern: camera lingo. It can be confusing, especially if you know nothing about photography. That left me to interpret “interesting.” Thus, I present this week’s blog.

It is a guys best friend. Short on words, long on pictures and no confusing lingo to wade through. All images are taken from a three-year-old portfolio entitled “10K lakes & a few streams.” Minnesota is known as the Ten Thousand Lakes State. That number is upwards of 12,000. But whose counting?

Enjoy!
